This has got to be the best book I’ve ever read and that says a lot because I hate reading so much that I’d rather live with rats. But this book, I just couldn’t put it down not once. I started reading it for school but I read it in only 1 week and I read it for 7 hours straight once. This book is amazing I highly recommend, I’m even thinking about reading the rest of the books. 🥰

Conflicting Feelings

1) Characters- Juliette was melodramatic and immature, but here it was justified. Warner was cliche with an obsession that conveniently prevented him from forcing Juliette to do anything because he “wants her to want this too” & it lowered the stakes. But both have potential that prevents me from hating them. Adam was very generic. 2) Plot & World: As generic as Adam. Hopefully it’ll be elaborated more later. 3) Writing: At first I was choking on the purple prose. You get used to it after a while, and some of it is quite beautiful, but the strikeouts remained annoying. 4) Romance: Insta-love, but very spicy. - In conclusion: Lots of squandered potential in the first book that I HOPE will be fulfilled later on. Word of advice: Don’t take it too seriously. This is barely a dystopian, it is mainly a romance.

I’ve just started this book, and it’s already amazing. The numbers, the strikethroughs, the repetition; it all shows Juliette’s declining mental state. While the world’s a tad basic (dying world, evil government, a bunch of opressed people), it’s still a really interesting book.

This book is very interesting and I couldn’t put it down. It is a little repetitive but it wasn’t too bothersome. I really enjoyed the character development and the growth of romance and mystery between Warner, Adam and Juliette. It has cool aspects that relate to present day issues and that was really engaging. I loved the idea and the plot but I don’t think it was well executed and I just didn’t click with Juliette. I don’t like how weak she was and how dependent she was on Adam and how quickly they fell in love. Yes, given her history she has the right to be fragile but I would’ve liked it more is she was stronger and more independent. She’s kind of annoying and whiny. I loved Kenji though, he made it better :)

This book is a really good read, it has an amazing and unique story line, but I found myself feeling as if I was reading a book written by a child with ocd. I know it’s supposed to be written as the main girls POV but I personally think it’s horribly written. It also seemed very rushed, the main characters are just in love within a few hours of seeing each other.

I absolutely love this book so much! Every sentece is so beautifully and well written, and all the analogies and phrases are ones I would never think of myself, yet make perfect sense, and you can truly feel how the main character feels. Every chapter leaves me craving for more. Recently I have been having a commitment issue when it comes to books, but I couldn't put this down. PLEASE read this, trust me it will be worth it.

This authors writing style is driving me crazy. She repeats herself over and over and over again. With phrases like I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy. Like she's getting paid per word or something. And then her analogies, she doesn't use just one she uses three or more each time. I feel like I'm poisonous. I feel like I'm deadly. I feel like I am lethal. OKAY I GET IT ALREADY. I can't stand authors who use so many words to convey the thoughts of a character I start to daydream because it slows the story so much. I get that she's mentally messed up but do you need to remind me every paragraph? I'll end it by saying when I read things like "I felt my heart beating in my wrist" I'm wondering if it's a typo or is she trying to be creative? I'm only a few chapters in so I'll try to go back and finish since I've already paid but it's not looking good.

I've honestly read this series at least 4 times and I am still not bored with it. It's wonderfully written and the final twist in the 3rd book I never saw coming. I wish there was a 4th book only because I don't want to be done with these characters and the way their life will turn out. I want to follow them forever like a guardian angel that gets to make sure everything stays as it should. I really can't stress enough how good this series is. I very HIGHLY recommend it.

When I started reading I instantly fell in love... for a while. What originally intrigued me, like the unique metaphors and similes, became annoying. Can this author describe anything without saying something along the lines of "I wanted to be free like a bird wants release from a cage," or "I crashed into him like was an ocean wave just coming to its crest." It definitely got old fast and gave me the impression that the author quickly ran out of words to spill into the paper. Don't even get me started with the abusive and highlighted relationships.

I did not like the writing style at all, but also couldn't get over the obvious physical issues that were left out. The main character was starved for years, yet viewed as 'stunning'. Seriously? Wouldn't she be gaunt and malnourished? Also a couple times she was kicked and beat. Any malnourished person would have had broken bones and major bruises, but there's a complete lack of any aftermath of that. Not even a "So that happened." Great idea for a story, just not my style I guess.

Absolutely Breathtaking

So, first things first. This series took my heart and ripped it to shreds, in the best way possible. I am one of those people who has a hard time finding new things to read, but just after the sample of the first book I was so completely submerged and there was no way out. This trilogy is addictive. The way it's written is so insanely beautiful and there is never a dull moment. I adore this author, her writing was so powerful. She made it so I despised a character so deeply but ended up completely falling for him. These books are literally addicting. I will admit, I was hesitant to read the second book because I had accidentally come across something that spoiled a major change that occurs. I was actually kind of mad, but after I begun the second book there was no turning back, it swept me off my feet. Just read the sample of Shatter Me, you will not even have the chance to regret it because your emotions will have been toyed with and you will feel so attached to every aspect!

This has got to be the best book I’ve ever read and that says a lot because I hate reading so much that I’d rather live with rats. But this book, I just couldn’t put it down not once. I started reading it for school but I read it in only 1 week and I read it for 7 hours straight once. Conflicting Feelings

1) Characters- Juliette was melodramatic and immature, but here it was justified. Warner was cliche with an obsession that conveniently prevented him from forcing Juliette to do anything because he “wants her to want this too” & it lowered the stakes. But both have potential that prevents me from hating them. Adam was very generic. 2) Plot & World: As generic as Adam. Hopefully it’ll be elaborated more later. 3) Writing: At first I was choking on the purple prose. You get used to it after a while, and some of it is quite beautiful, but the strikeouts remained annoying. 4) Romance: Insta-love, but very spicy. - In conclusion: Lots of squandered potential in the first book that I HOPE will be fulfilled later on. Word of advice: Don’t take it too seriously. This is barely a dystopian, it is mainly a romance.

I’ve just started this book, and it’s already amazing. The numbers, the strikethroughs, the repetition; it all shows Juliette’s declining mental state. While the world’s a tad basic (dying world, evil government, a bunch of opressed people), it’s still a really interesting book.

This book is very interesting and I couldn’t put it down. It is a little repetitive but it wasn’t too bothersome. I really enjoyed the character development and the growth of romance and mystery between Warner, Adam and Juliette. It has cool aspects that relate to present day issues and that was really engaging. I loved the idea and the plot but I don’t think it was well executed and I just didn’t click with Juliette. I don’t like how weak she was and how dependent she was on Adam and how quickly they fell in love. Yes, given her history she has the right to be fragile but I would’ve liked it more is she was stronger and more independent. She’s kind of annoying and whiny. I loved Kenji though, he made it better :)

This book is a really good read, it has an amazing and unique story line, but I found myself feeling as if I was reading a book written by a child with ocd. I know it’s supposed to be written as the main girls POV but I personally think it’s horribly written. This authors writing style is driving me crazy. She repeats herself over and over and over again. With phrases like I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy. Like she's getting paid per word or something. And then her analogies, she doesn't use just one she uses three or more each time. I feel like I'm poisonous. I feel like I'm deadly. I feel like I am lethal. OKAY I GET IT ALREADY. I can't stand authors who use so many words to convey the thoughts of a character I start to daydream because it slows the story so much. I get that she's mentally messed up but do you need to remind me every paragraph? I'll end it by saying when I read things like "I felt my heart beating in my wrist" I'm wondering if it's a typo or is she trying to be creative? I'm only a few chapters in so I'll try to go back and finish since I've already paid but it's not looking good.

I've honestly read this series at least 4 times and I am still not bored with it. It's wonderfully written and the final twist in the 3rd book I never saw coming. I wish there was a 4th book only because I don't want to be done with these characters and the way their life will turn out. I want to follow them forever like a guardian angel that gets to make sure everything stays as it should. I really can't stress enough how good this series is. I very HIGHLY recommend it.

When I started reading I instantly fell in love... for a while. What originally intrigued me, like the unique metaphors and similes, became annoying. Can this author describe anything without saying something along the lines of "I wanted to be free like a bird wants release from a cage," or "I crashed into him like was an ocean wave just coming to its crest." It definitely got old fast and gave me the impression that the author quickly ran out of words to spill into the paper. Don't even get me started with the abusive and highlighted relationships.

I did not like the writing style at all, but also couldn't get over the obvious physical issues that were left out. The main character was starved for years, yet viewed as 'stunning'. Seriously? Wouldn't she be gaunt and malnourished? Also a couple times she was kicked and beat. Any malnourished person would have had broken bones and major bruises, but there's a complete lack of any aftermath of that. Not even a "So that happened." Great idea for a story, just not my style I guess.

So, first things first. This series took my heart and ripped it to shreds, in the best way possible. I am one of those people who has a hard time finding new things to read, but just after the sample of the first book I was so completely submerged and there was no way out. This trilogy is addictive. The way it's written is so insanely beautiful and there is never a dull moment. I adore this author, her writing was so powerful. She made it so I despised a character so deeply but ended up completely falling for him. These books are literally addicting. I will admit, I was hesitant to read the second book because I had accidentally come across something that spoiled a major change that occurs. I was actually kind of mad, but after I begun the second book there was no turning back, it swept me off my feet. Just read the sample of Shatter Me, you will not even have the chance to regret it because your emotions will have been toyed with and you will feel so attached to every aspect!

Conflicting Feelings

1) Characters- Juliette was melodramatic and immature, but here it was justified. Warner was cliche with an obsession that conveniently prevented him from forcing Juliette to do anything because he “wants her to want this too” & it lowered the stakes. But both have potential that prevents me from hating them. Adam was very generic. 2) Plot & World: As generic as Adam. Hopefully it’ll be elaborated more later. 3) Writing: At first I was choking on the purple prose. You get used to it after a while, and some of it is quite beautiful, but the strikeouts remained annoying. 4) Romance: Insta-love, but very spicy. - In conclusion: Lots of squandered potential in the first book that I HOPE will be fulfilled later on. Word of advice: Don’t take it too seriously. This is barely a dystopian, it is mainly a romance.

I’ve just started this book, and it’s already amazing. The numbers, the strikethroughs, the repetition; it all shows Juliette’s declining mental state. While the world’s a tad basic (dying world, evil government, a bunch of opressed people), it’s still a really interesting book.

I loved the idea and the plot but I don’t think it was well executed and I just didn’t click with Juliette. I don’t like how weak she was and how dependent she was on Adam and how quickly they fell in love. Yes, given her history she has the right to be fragile but I would’ve liked it more is she was stronger and more independent. She’s kind of annoying and whiny. I loved Kenji though, he made it better :)

This authors writing style is driving me crazy. She repeats herself over and over and over again. With phrases like I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy. Like she's getting paid per word or something. And then her analogies, she doesn't use just one she uses three or more each time. I feel like I'm poisonous. I feel like I'm deadly. I feel like I am lethal. OKAY I GET IT ALREADY. I can't stand authors who use so many words to convey the thoughts of a character I start to daydream because it slows the story so much. I get that she's mentally messed up but do you need to remind me every paragraph? I'll end it by saying when I read things like "I felt my heart beating in my wrist" I'm wondering if it's a typo or is she trying to be creative? I'm only a few chapters in so I'll try to go back and finish since I've already paid but it's not looking good.

I've honestly read this series at least 4 times and I am still not bored with it. It's wonderfully written and the final twist in the 3rd book I never saw coming. I wish there was a 4th book only because I don't want to be done with these characters and the way their life will turn out. When I started reading I instantly fell in love... for a while. What originally intrigued me, like the unique metaphors and similes, became annoying. Can this author describe anything without saying something along the lines of "I wanted to be free like a bird wants release from a cage," or "I crashed into him like was an ocean wave just coming to its crest." It definitely got old fast and gave me the impression that the author quickly ran out of words to spill into the paper. Don't even get me started with the abusive and highlighted relationships.

I did not like the writing style at all, but also couldn't get over the obvious physical issues that were left out. The main character was starved for years, yet viewed as 'stunning'. Seriously? Wouldn't she be gaunt and malnourished? Also a couple times she was kicked and beat. Any malnourished person would have had broken bones and major bruises, but there's a complete lack of any aftermath of that. Not even a "So that happened." Great idea for a story, just not my style I guess.

So, first things first. This series took my heart and ripped it to shreds, in the best way possible. I am one of those people who has a hard time finding new things to read, but just after the sample of the first book I was so completely submerged and there was no way out. This trilogy is addictive. The way it's written is so insanely beautiful and there is never a dull moment. I adore this author, her writing was so powerful. She made it so I despised a character so deeply but ended up completely falling for him. These books are literally addicting. I will admit, I was hesitant to read the second book because I had accidentally come across something that spoiled a major change that occurs. I was actually kind of mad, but after I begun the second book there was no turning back, it swept me off my feet. Just read the sample of Shatter Me, you will not even have the chance to regret it because your emotions will have been toyed with and you will feel so attached to every aspect!

This has got to be the best book I’ve ever read and that says a lot because I hate reading so much that I’d rather live with rats. But this book, I just couldn’t put it down not once. I started reading it for school but I read it in only 1 week and I read it for 7 hours straight once. This book is amazing I highly recommend, I’m even thinking about reading the rest of the books. 🥰

Conflicting Feelings

1) Characters- Juliette was melodramatic and immature, but here it was justified. Warner was cliche with an obsession that conveniently prevented him from forcing Juliette to do anything because he “wants her to want this too” & it lowered the stakes. But both have potential that prevents me from hating them. Adam was very generic. 2) Plot & World: As generic as Adam. Hopefully it’ll be elaborated more later. 3) Writing: At first I was choking on the purple prose. You get used to it after a while, and some of it is quite beautiful, but the strikeouts remained annoying. 4) Romance: Insta-love, but very spicy. - In conclusion: Lots of squandered potential in the first book that I HOPE will be fulfilled later on. Word of advice: Don’t take it too seriously. This is barely a dystopian, it is mainly a romance.

Already amazing

I’ve just started this book, and it’s already amazing. The numbers, the strikethroughs, the repetition; it all shows Juliette’s declining mental state. While the world’s a tad basic (dying world, evil government, a bunch of opressed people), it’s still a really interesting book.

This book is very interesting and I couldn’t put it down. It is a little repetitive but it wasn’t too bothersome. I really enjoyed the character development and the growth of romance and mystery between Warner, Adam and Juliette. It has cool aspects that relate to present day issues and that was really engaging. I would recommend this book.

So this is absolutely astronomically amazing!

For a quick review: It has a powerful female chars tar, romance, twists, and throughout the series see some beautiful character developments. Also you just have to love Kenji because I have probably never laughed so much at or with a character than I have in this whole series. Also totally kickbutt characters and just sooo good. Read it. Embarrass your feels and vibes during this book. Also one part had me really sad in this book. I loved the idea and the plot but I don’t think it was well executed and I just didn’t click with Juliette. I don’t like how weak she was and how dependent she was on Adam and how quickly they fell in love. Yes, given her history she has the right to be fragile but I would’ve liked it more is she was stronger and more independent. She’s kind of annoying and whiny. I loved Kenji though, he made it better :)

Good plot, horribly written, very rushed.

This book is a really good read, it has an amazing and unique story line, but I found myself feeling as if I was reading a book written by a child with ocd. I know it’s supposed to be written as the main girls POV but I personally think it’s horribly written. It also seemed very rushed, the main characters are just in love within a few hours of seeing each other.

UNBELIEVEABLY AMAZING

I absolutely love this book so much! Every sentece is so beautifully and well written, and all the analogies and phrases are ones I would never think of myself, yet make perfect sense, and you can truly feel how the main character feels. Every chapter leaves me craving for more. Recently I have been having a commitment issue when it comes to books, but I couldn't put this down. PLEASE read this, trust me it will be worth it.

Please help me understand why...

This authors writing style is driving me crazy. She repeats herself over and over and over again. With phrases like I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy. Like she's getting paid per word or something. And then her analogies, she doesn't use just one she uses three or more each time. I feel like I'm poisonous. I feel like I'm deadly. I feel like I am lethal. OKAY I GET IT ALREADY. I can't stand authors who use so many words to convey the thoughts of a character I start to daydream because it slows the story so much. I get that she's mentally messed up but do you need to remind me every paragraph? I'll end it by saying when I read things like "I felt my heart beating in my wrist" I'm wondering if it's a typo or is she trying to be creative? I'm only a few chapters in so I'll try to go back and finish since I've already paid but it's not looking good.

Amazing book!

I've honestly read this series at least 4 times and I am still not bored with it. It's wonderfully written and the final twist in the 3rd book I never saw coming. I wish there was a 4th book only because I don't want to be done with these characters and the way their life will turn out. I want to follow them forever like a guardian angel that gets to make sure everything stays as it should. I really can't stress enough how good this series is. I very HIGHLY recommend it.

When I started reading I instantly fell in love... for a while. What originally intrigued me, like the unique metaphors and similes, became annoying. Can this author describe anything without saying something along the lines of "I wanted to be free like a bird wants release from a cage," or "I crashed into him like was an ocean wave just coming to its crest." It definitely got old fast and gave me the impression that the author quickly ran out of words to spill into the paper. Don't even get me started with the abusive and highlighted relationships.

I did not like the writing style at all, but also couldn't get over the obvious physical issues that were left out. The main character was starved for years, yet viewed as 'stunning'. Seriously? Wouldn't she be gaunt and malnourished? Also a couple times she was kicked and beat. Any malnourished person would have had broken bones and major bruises, but there's a complete lack of any aftermath of that. Not even a "So that happened." Great idea for a story, just not my style I guess.

Absolutely Breathtaking

So, first things first. This series took my heart and ripped it to shreds, in the best way possible. I am one of those people who has a hard time finding new things to read, but just after the sample of the first book I was so completely submerged and there was no way out. This trilogy is addictive. The way it's written is so insanely beautiful and there is never a dull moment. I adore this author, her writing was so powerful. She made it so I despised a character so deeply but ended up completely falling for him. These books are literally addicting. I will admit, I was hesitant to read the second book because I had accidentally come across something that spoiled a major change that occurs. I was actually kind of mad, but after I begun the second book there was no turning back, it swept me off my feet. Just read the sample of Shatter Me, you will not even have the chance to regret it because your emotions will have been toyed with and you will feel so attached to every aspect!
